Paper Awards

 

Best Paper Awards (3 Awards)

Three awards of SGD 800 each will be presented to the authors of the best papers submitted to the conference.

 

To be eligible, participants must:

  •  
  • Submit a full paper (to be submitted with abstract)
  • A cover letter to express interest in the award, including a statement in the cover letter to explain how your work will contribute to the field of Geography and Southeast Asia (to be submitted with abstract)
  • Present at the conference, and
  • Be present during the award announcement (at the closing ceremony).

One of these awards is the Ooi Giok Ling Paper Award, named in honour of Professor Ooi Giok Ling, our late and esteemed past president, whose legacy continues to inspire excellence in geographical research.

 

SJTG Early Career Paper Awards (6 Awards)

Six SJTG Paper Awards of SGD 800 each will be awarded to early career researchers.


To be eligible, participants must:

  • Submit a full paper (to be submitted with abstract)
  • A cover letter to express interest in the award, including a statement in the cover letter to explain how your work will contribute to the field of Geography and Southeast Asia (to be submitted with abstract)

  • Present at the conference, and

  • Be present during the award announcement (at the closing ceremony).
 

Selection Process for allpaper awards

 

All paper awards will be based on the submission of a full paper, which will undergo a peer review and evaluation by a panel of experts. Criteria include originality, methodological rigor, relevance, and contribution to the field.

 

We encourage all participants to submit their full papers by 15 July for consideration. Remember to attach your full paper when you submit your abstract. The full paper template can be found HERE  .
